This tag measures 3/8" tall by 2 5/8 " wide, or wider if your name requires it.
We engrave 1 line of text and includes both brass wood screws and nails, for the low price of $7.95ea.
Just please take note that more letters means smaller letters. We use a Roman font engraved in three passes because we feel it looks the best, but are happy to entertain another if you prefer.
We tend to favor upper and lower case for smaller plates but will choose what looks best for your requested text. We have been engraving tags for many years, we know what most horse owners need.
If you have a preference for all caps or upper and lower case or have another special request please let us know in the special notes section. If we have any questions we will contact you via email.
We are simple. We craft items of the highest quality and sell them directly to the public. We make large quantities of very few items and pass the savings on to you.
We have no distribution chain, no sales people, just a shared commitment to make you and your horse look your very best …..and let your thriftiness remain our secret.
We make our brass plates like no one else and for a price no one else can match.
We start with the highest quality engravers brass and shape it to our rigorous specifications. We engrave it extra deep, with specialized cutters and equipment.
We then hand polish each tag to a rich golden shine and fill each letter with high quality black enamel. There are quicker and easier ways to make halter plates, but you won't find any better.
Most shops just lightly scratch names into thin sheets of lacquered brass or brass plated stock. Our plates are about as thick as a quarter, .064" inches and milled in so deep they will outlast whatever you mount them on.
They will develop a beautiful patina or keep them extra shiny with a quick buff of polish. Lacquered plated just chip away to a hazy death. We realize most shops charge twice as much and only deliver a fraction of our quality.
We are able to out perform our competitors for three main reasons.
1. We specialize in brass tags and not everything under the sun.
2. We make a lot of tags. Our volume keeps our prices low.
3. We respect your hard earned dollar. Horses are expensive enough, you don't need to have your pockets picked for every little thing.
